What the gurus are saying

The formulation separates at room temperature when stored, making it unreliable as a daily foundation, though reviewers appreciate its convenient compact and unexpected SPF 48 tucked in the ingredient list. Application technique matters: the right tapping method delivers a glow and buildable light coverage, though the texture grips slightly to dry spots. Those with fair skin see the most benefit; above 80% humidity, it gets too slick even on dry skin.

"But the formulation is unstable, when it's stored at room temperature the foundation separates from the oil layer so you can't use it anymore, I'd recommend using it as a backup rather than your main one. In summer when the humidity hits 80% it feels too oily even for dry skin, it's better to use concealer around the T-zone to make it last longer, but if you have very dry skin all these cushions will feel matte to you, so try this one."

"A lot of people are using the pads like this, and then they're tapping with this really loose pad and the tips of their fingers here. You go into the compact once, like this on any of them, and then straight onto the skin. [...] Sometimes you can't even see the product on the sponge. But there's loads on it. You start around this area first for the most untextured part of the face, and then go into the middle here. And when you're tapping, it needs to be direct, like a beauty blender."

"This does feel very satisfying, though. I quite like the patting. And also this is really useful for, like, on the go foundation because you obviously don't have to squeeze it onto your hand or anything. [...] As far as I can tell, it's sitting really nicely. It's leaving a kind of nice glow that isn't too shiny. [...] I feel like it is kind of slightly clinging to my dry patches around here."
