What the gurus are saying

The pad format itself divides these reviewers. Neither is convinced pads beat a liquid toner, citing waste and the loss of flexibility in how you use the product (mist, sheet mask, or pads). Fragrance in the formulas is another concern for some. Both acknowledge pads suit people in a rush, though neither would make them an everyday staple.

"I've never been a huge fan of their formulas because they do like to use fragrance, although there are a few formulas that don't include it. As for toner pads in general, I'm not the biggest fan of them because I don't love skincare products that create daily waste, [...] even if they're compostable or recyclable. [...] I'd prefer to just use a liquid toner formula rather than a pad, but I understand why people like them, they can be very satisfying. [...] They're just not my favorite."

"We knew there was going to be a Heartleaf 77 Clear Pad and it is indeed the Anua. I had a feeling it would be, and I think that's probably part of why I was so tempted to get this box. I know not everybody likes this, but some people do, and I'm one of them, and this is currently retailing for $22, [...] so about half the cost of the box."

Skincare EMPTIES! Is Convenience Worth it? (May 2024)
"I finished these off because I always go through this category quickly, but it's one that I wouldn't use again or wouldn't repurchase."
Is Anua Skincare Worth the Hype? 1-Month Review/Ranking
"I used up a pretty good amount of the heartleaf 77 clear pads. [...] I do like these, I do think it's a good product, it's a way to get some heartleaf into your routine and also some gluconolactone. [...] For me I don't feel like I'm getting a lot of exfoliation, which is both a good thing and also an unpredictable thing. I [...] just don't see myself repurchasing these."
Hyperpigmentation Routine! (2024 Skincare Routine, Part 2!)
"I almost didn't include these Anua toner pads, I don't know if I'll actually repurchase them, but I have been enjoying them. My issue with toner pads in general is that I already have everything I need to make my own, and I like the flexibility of turning a toner into a mist, a sheet mask, or pads myself, so this category is never going to be a favorite for me, but I get it if you're in a rush or you just like using toner pads."

"So for this reason this product is in WR"

"A long time ago I finished one but never bought it again because I didn't like it, and this time I bought it again for this review and again I didn't like it at all. It doesn't have enough serum in the pad, and whenever I used the toner pad it started to get dry after you open it. Heartleaf is supposed to help soothe your skin but I can't feel that because there isn't enough serum, so it's not even moisturizing. It says it removes dead skin cells, so it's only recommended once or twice a week."
