What the gurus are saying

This hybrid sunscreen earns consistent praise for working beautifully under makeup without irritating the eyes, and for its hydrating finish that works especially well for dry skin in winter. At $10 for SPF 50, the price is a standout value. It can serve double duty as both moisturizer and sunscreen, so those looking to streamline their routine may find it does the work of two products.

"Beauty of Joan Mineral is a tinted sunscreen that I do like a lot. [...] The filters are mineral, [...] it's zinc oxide, but in the inactive section they have an ingredient called octyl salicylate, and octyl salicylate can be an allergen in people. So even if you're looking for a mineral sunscreen, make sure it doesn't have this chemical filter in it."

"The one I currently have open is Beauty of Joan. Any of their sunscreens are stunning under makeup. You can literally use that as your moisturizer and your sunscreen."

"The beauty of Joan is a $10 sunscreen with SPF 50. It is a hybrid and it does not burn my eyes. I love this for winter because if you have dry skin and you're in a dry environment, this is a beautiful sunscreen that leaves you feeling hydrated without making your eyes burn or feel like you want to rip them out. It literally just hydrates your skin. It doubles as a moisturizer and it is lightweight and not greasy at all."
