What the gurus are saying

The fermented tea and saccharomyces ferment deliver serious hydration paired with visible redness reduction, earning this essence holy grail status among those who tested it. The two-layer formula separates hydration (kombucha) from a silky sunflower-based moisturizing layer that mixes together on application, striking a balance that suits combination and dehydrated skin particularly well. A heads up: some found it greasy at first and switched to evening use with better results, so may want to patch-test or ease into it if your skin runs oily.

"I'm pretty well known for adoring this product since 2021. I love this so, so much. I have probably not talked about it as much recently as I used to back in 2021, 2022, maybe even 2023, but it is still something that shows up in at least one routine every single year. I really, really love this essence. It is everything I want an essence to be. Essences are products that I'll use after a hydrating toner, almost like a booster to my skincare routine. I'm looking for hydration, and this definitely has it. [...] There are two layers here, and the hydrating portion is packed with fermented tea, lots of antioxidant content, lots of polyphenols, great for well-aging concerns. It is really anti-inflammatory and calming for the skin, reducing redness on the skin as well, and just everything in there promotes that lit from within kind of glow. I also like essences to have a little bit of a thicker texture than my hydrating toner, to really lock in hydration and balance out my skin. I have combination skin prone to dehydration, and that cream portion to this essence really does the trick. There is a sunflower seed oil"

Milky Toners for Cold Weather!
"This is a bifacial product with two layers separated in the bottle. [...] The star ingredient here is a saccharomyces ferment, which is a really beautiful fermented ingredient that really helps with the health of the skin. This has been combined with tea, and that's where we get the fermented tea, the kombucha element to this. Fermenting an ingredient really unlocks a lot of the vitamins and minerals and what I like to call skin nutrition. It really helps to support a healthy microbiome and it really supports healthy skin. It can help with the hydrating content of the ingredient, it can increase the amino acids, it can just do so much. It also helps it sink into the skin a little bit deeper, so if you have deep dehydration, sometimes those fermented ingredients can deliver hydration kind of to the source of that tightness and itchiness within your skin. I also find tea to be a really great ingredient if you have some redness on your skin. It just seems to have a natural anti-inflammatory benefit that seems to bring out that healthy lit from within."

"I love this because it is so nourishing and silky and moisturizing for my skin but in this lighter format. The tea also helps to reduce redness and it really is going to help with that little pimple that I have right under my eye just to take down some of the redness."
Spring Skincare Swaps | My Skincare Changes for the Season
"My smart spring skincare swap is the Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence. Yeah, it's back. I absolutely love this, this is another staple for me, and I have used it in cold weather with great success, but there's just a little bit more of a balance to this product, a little bit more lightness to this that seems to suit my skin outside of the winter months very well, and much better than the cream skin products. What I love about this is I can see the balance in the bottle, there's the hydrating portion, and that actually is the kombucha, the fermented tea part of it, and then the silky creamy part is actually a sunflower-based moisturizing creamy layer. The fun about this essence is that you get to mix it up and those layers combine beautifully together to create this very watery hydrating essence toner type of product with a silky slip, with a moisturizing creaminess to it, a lighter nourishment to it, and it just feels so good. Combination skin really needs products like this, it really needs all that hydration and that moisture, it needs the balance, and it really does walk that fine line for my personal skin and it feels amazing."

"This is named as an essence, but the instructions say to use it right after cleansing, so it's really just like a toner, cosmetic companies can name things however they want. It's really milky and heavy. The scent wasn't that strong. The downside is you have to shake it every time before you use it, and the glass bottle is heavy, it's also quite expensive. The description suggests layering it once for oily skin, twice for normal skin, and three times for dry skin, but for oily skin it already feels too heavy. Despite its thick texture, the moisturizing power isn't as great as expected. I don't think I'll be using it often."

"The Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence at 26 bucks is really hydrating. It's very similar in my opinion to the Mary and May Idon Blackberry Complex Essence in terms of texture and hydration benefits. In the Dr. Ceuracle we've got green tea, we've got saccharomyces ferment, we've got centella, we've got fig. It's really hydrating [...] and it's really good at repairing the barrier and hydrating skin. There are a lot of people who found it too greasy at first and then ended up using it in their evening routine and found they really like it. So [...] if you didn't like it at first, I'd recommend giving it a second chance."

"This one has a thick, milky texture, like milk with a hint of cream. I love that, I [...] want to put this on my face. [...] I might have to do a triple layer. [...] That is stunning, I really like that so far."

"This is like holy grail status for me. [...] It's the Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence. It's a bi-phase formula, meaning it has two different phases in the formula. [...] It has soothing ingredients like chamomile and anise in it. [...] The texture is really nice and soothing. It is a toner for your skin or like an essence, but it also slightly just very slightly moisturizes your skin. I like to put this on right before I do an LED mask because I can't just go from cleansing my skin and letting it dry out to using an LED mask, but I do like to use my toners first."

How I Prep My Skin BEFORE a Treatment (Laser or Chemical Peel) | Skincare Routine
"Since I have already cleansed my skin, it's feeling a little bit dry but not stripped, but still I want to add as much hydration and moisture to my skin. This is the Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence. You know I love this stuff, it's usually a base but I was already shaking it up. I just find that this gives my skin the most hydration of any essence I have ever used. This one is holy grail status for me, I use this all the time and I find myself always going back to it."

"This is tied with the Mary and May Blackberry Complex for best moisturizing essence. If fermented ingredients don't work for you this wouldn't be the best idea, but a lot of us do well with those ingredients, and you get added brightening with this one. For me personally it didn't last as long, it started to smell a little funny, I keep my house pretty warm so you may not experience this."

(BIG) Skincare Empties: finding the “best of the best”!
"The Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence is a great hydrating and moisturizing essence. I do have to say it started to smell a little funny towards the end, so I actually finished it up on my decollete area because I got a little nervous about introducing bacteria to my face. I had it for about a year, and it turns out it actually expires in September, so that could be what was going on with that one."
