What the gurus are saying

The experts split on this one. Those drawn to it praise the blend of exfoliating acids, which help with keratosis pilaris and shaving bumps, paired with shea butter and plant oils that sink in fast without leaving a heavy residue or odd smell. However, others found it takes longer to absorb than expected and felt it sat slippery on the skin rather than settling down, making the price harder to justify on a repurchase.

"This feels very slippery, it's balmy. I feel like it's sitting on top of my skin. [...] I hate the smell. It smells unscented, you know, in something because when something's unscented, it's it can still have fragrance in it. It's just that they're putting a masking fragrant in there to neutralize the smell. This doesn't say that it's unscented, but it smells like an unscented product to me. I don't know. To me, like I like a thicker lotion. The smell would bother me for that one."

"So if you use this a couple times a week this will certainly help with crepiness, it will help with firmness, it will help with skin texture, it also helps with smoothness. Glycolic acid is proven to help with collagen production in your skin, so something like this is great. If you use that regularly, not just for a few weeks or a few months, that will help firm up your skin."

"I finished up a couple body products the first one is by Drunk Elephant, this is their AHA Alpha hydroxy acid blend with glycolic and lactic. Now this just didn't give me any kind of a wow factor. I've been trying lots of body lotions for you guys, this will be a pass for me on repurchase."

"I'm about a third of the way through Drunk Elephant's TLC Glycolic Body Lotion. I found that this did not dry down very quickly. Glycolic is a great AHA, like I said it gets deeper into the skin, it's a smaller molecule and it helps rebuild collagen and elastin. I just didn't like the formula of this because it seemed to take a long time to dry down. [...] It's a little bit on the pricey side too, so this won't be a repurchase for me."

"It's a wonderful body hair product from Drunk Elephant and it's their TLC Glycolic Body Lotion that retails for 28 bucks. This one is really nice for anyone that's seeking a great effective moisturizer without leaving that heaviness and stickiness. This has wonderful ingredients to help smooth poring skin, help with keratosis pilaris, shaving bumps, strawberry legs, and also helps to hydrate and nourish skin at the same time."

"I really like this because it contains a blend of various alpha hydroxy acids including glycolic acid, tartaric acid, lactic acid and citric acid, so really great exfoliants that help to unclog the pores and help with chicken skin, strawberry legs, keratosis pilaris. I think it's also great to use on areas that are prone to shaving bumps on the body. It also contains shea butter as well as plant-derived oils that are nourishing."
