What the gurus are saying

This gel cream strikes a balance between richness and lightness, starting thick but blending into skin as a featherweight finish that hydration-seekers with combination to normal or slightly dry skin appreciate. Gurus praise the green tea and wheat germ oil for calming sensitivity, and value the formula's ability to deliver moisture without the heavy feel or the heavy price tag. It's a dependable choice available at drugstores that still feels like a treat.

"This is the First Dew Point Moisturizing Gel Cream, and this is a fantastic gel moisturizer that is not only inexpensive and fragrance free, but it works really well with the pycnogenol because of the way it mixes in. You can actually get this pycnogenol to really disperse and now this helps to take away some of that orange color but still give you hydration on the skin. It's definitely more of a lightweight gel feel, so I would recommend this for those who are oily or combination skinned."

"I like this one for when my skin needs a good amount of moisture and hydration but I don't want to compromise the way my skin looks. I'd say this one's a little bit more moisturizing than the Biossance one, but I really like it because it includes green tea and wheat germ oil which helps to calm any sensitivity, and it's a very nice texture. People with combination to normal skin I think would really enjoy using this product, it's a classic, tried and true."

"I personally feel that when it comes to a drugstore moisturizer, this is such a good one. It has kind of a richer consistency at first, but it blends into the skin to be really lightweight. It has ingredients like green tea to help soothe the skin, and I've also found that it works well for people who tend to be a little bit more on the dry side but still want that lightweight experience."

"I absolutely love this gel moisturizer. This one is going to give you more of a dewy finish. [...] It is more translucent and absorbs right over the skin really quickly. [...] If you want a subtle highlight or glow to the skin, choose this one instead of the matte finish option. I wear this on makeup-free days and I really love the natural finish on the skin. This one is hyaluronic acid based so it helps give hydration."
