What the gurus are saying

This sunscreen earns consistent praise for its lightweight, breathable texture that feels comfortable even in hot, humid weather without leaving a bothersome residue. However, there is a notable split in the takes: one expert rates it highly for everyday summer wear, while another gives it a low score, so the verdict really depends on what works for your skin.

"I use this a lot in hot weather because it's one of the few that I can stand to wear on my skin in the hottest and most humid days where I live. And sometimes folks ask me for sunscreens that don't contain niacinamide because they have their own individual skin sensitivities. This is the sunscreen. This is one of the few rare K beauty sunscreens that does not contain niacinamide in it. So whenever I get that question which sunscreen doesn't have niacinamide, this one, this is my recommendation."

"This is really a lightweight, really breathable casual exposure sunscreen. I just really like it for summer because it's so lightweight, it's so comfortable. This is the sunscreen that just always works for me no matter what. It's casual exposure but it's really lightweight, it's so breathable, it's not bothersome on my skin. 10 out of 10."

"I literally wear this as a moisturizer because of the humectant and water magnets, but they really made a mistake. It really stinks. I feel like it's going to attract all the bees. It has that kind of smell that's a mistake because you do not want to go out into the UV rays with this on your skin because of the higher chances of irritation, which can lead to hyperpigmentation in my skin of color family. Unfortunately, Heart Leaf, this gets a four out of 10."
