What the gurus are saying

A few dots of this corrector, matched to skin tone across a spectrum from light peach to red, neutralize purple and dark tones so well that less concealer is needed afterward for a brighter undereye. The range works thoughtfully: fair skin uses pink, medium uses peach, and deep uses orange. One expert noted it could pair nicely with a slightly warmer and darker corrector first for some people, though not all gurus have weighed in on this yet.

"I'm going in with the Huda Beauty peach color corrector, just like the teeniest little bit underneath her eye, just in this little section right here. You really don't [...] need a color corrector, but especially if you're going to be doing bridal makeup, you want everything to look as perfect as possible."

let’s see how these do on my dark circles
"I did try this the other day and I had to mix it with something else. [...] I personally think that this would be a little bit better for more medium skin tones. I think it's a little too dark for me. So once again I think if I had the pink to mix with this maybe it would be a little better. [...] The color correctors are a little bit more sheer in terms of coverage. It's a little bit more about like a tone adjustment rather than coverage."

"I have used something a little bit warmer and slightly darker first, maybe my Huda Beauty color corrector, and then gone in with this."

Why NEITHER of these work on pale olive skin...
"I remember when I tried this for the first time, I just thought it was so dark. On my olive skin, the cool toned shade makes me look super dead, whereas this one, while it's a little bit dark, is more flattering. The warm tone is much more flattering. This has been a common problem for fair olive skin for many, many years, this idea that fair skin can't be olive, that it's always cool toned or neutral. Luckily a lot of brands have come around to the fact that there's fair skin that needs warm."

"This is a Huda Beauty Faux Filter Color Corrector in Peach. These are really nice to gently color correct the eye area. They're not like crazy thick, heavy color correctors. After it's blended in, it's not crazy orange, it's not crazy dark in any way. It actually just levels out the tone under my eye rather than over-brightening or making it too orange. We just want it to let level itself out with the rest of my skin."

KEEP IT, FIX IT, DUMP IT, JUNE 2023!! Trying New Makeup!!
"Whereas on the Pomelo side, it's pretty much my skin tone and it's just slightly brightened the undereye. Now, if I went on top with a brighter concealer now, which I will do, it's so much easier to make that eye look brighter and less sunken because it's not pure orange. Basically, not everyone needs pure orange. So these are going to be keep because they are a really nice texture, they're almost watery and really easy to blend. It feels like a very lightweight concealer."

"Huda Beauty did a really good job of demonstrating this. If you're fair skinned, you're gonna use like a pinky color corrector. If you're medium, you're gonna use a peach. If you're deep, you're gonna use an orange. So my perfect color corrector looks something more like this. [...] With a color corrector that fits your skin tone, apply just one or two little dots. I'm going to blend that out with my finger and see how it just neutralized out all that purple."
