What the gurus are saying

The sticky, chunky texture is messy and difficult to wash off, a major drawback of this two-in-one mask cleanser with vitamin C and niacinamide. While the ingredients look promising, it's too harsh for dry and sensitive skin; it works better as a brief mask (3-5 minutes) than a daily cleanser, and those with oily skin might have better luck. Not much detailed feedback has landed, so there's not much to build from just yet.

"I enjoy it slightly more as a mask left on for 3-5 minutes, but it still leaves my skin feeling dry afterward and requires a hydrating follow-up. All those brightening ingredients seem wasted in a product you just wash off, and the texture is not user-friendly. For someone with oily or combination skin you would absolutely love this, but for me it's definitely not something I would purchase again. It's a miss."

"You apply it like a face mask, leave it on for a minute or two, and then once you emulsify it with water, it ends up working as kind of like a foaming cleanser. I've tried a handful of two-in-one products, and a lot of times they work pretty well. Typically, they're good at one thing and not so much the other, but this might be good. [...] This one's got panthenol, niacinamide, vitamin B, polyglutamic acid, ceramides, and of course we cannot forget our PDRN."

"I'm not a big fan of the orange peel oil, but in a rinse off product, it's not as big of a deal as putting something with orange oil on your skin, not using sunscreen and going out in the sun. [...] It's got glutathione, niacinamide, ascorbic acid in it. So, looks interesting."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Vitamin C

Topical vitamin C is an antioxidant with reasonable evidence for dullness and uneven tone. It breaks down in light and air, so how a product is formulated and packaged matters as much as the percentage on the front.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide has evidence behind it for redness, uneven tone and supporting the skin barrier, and it is usually well tolerated even by skin that reacts to most things.

Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.
