What the gurus are saying

These blushes are highly pigmented, so a little goes a long way and they reward a light hand on application. Experts suggest dabbing a small amount on the back of your hand first, then pressing onto skin rather than applying directly from the applicator, to avoid oversaturation. The range includes matte, dewy, and glowy finishes across warm and pink-leaning shades, with most gurus praising how well they blend once on the skin.

"This is more akin to the Rare Beauty Liquid Blush than most of the other drugstore liquid blushes I've tried. Most of them are not very pigmented. A very pretty blush, but use it very sparingly. This is in the shade 605 dewy bright pink."

"It just looks like your skin with a little bit of a glow. But unfortunately, this breaks me out and I don't know what is causing the breakouts. There's niacinamide in here, so if you don't like niacinamide, you might want to stay away from this. Niacinamide doesn't break me out, so I know that's not the issue. But there's so many other ingredients in here, so it's very unfortunate. This causes breakouts for me, especially on my cheeks."

"I was using the L'Oreal Liquid Blush that came in the advent calendar and how it was one of those a little goes a long way. Well, I kind of got to a point where I was like, okay, I'm ready to try something else. I've been using this for two months, two, three, two and a half months now."

"I got a Liquid Blush from them. It comes with a doe foot applicator, but that product seems to get everywhere and it's one of those things where it's so easy to overdose. You have to have a really light hand."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Sunscreen filters

Sun protection is the best evidenced way to slow visible ageing, and the filters are what does the work. Mineral and chemical filters both protect when a product is applied thickly enough and often enough, which is where most people fall short rather than on the choice of filter.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
