"This is really good if you're dry, mature skin, but I never recommend it to oily combo skin or anyone in tropical weather, only for dry, mature or really dry skin. I'd give Laneige Cream Skin more points because when you buy it they give you a mist to go with it, which is great, so after you dry your face in the shower you can use the mist so your skin doesn't stay dry."

"This started the cream skin category of milky toners. Between all the milky toners, this one is heavy too, similarly heavy to the others. Other fellow makeup artists in younger age groups said this feels too stuffy for them. I'd recommend it in winter for anybody who feels really dry, but other than that I just don't recommend it, you'll feel like it's already too much before you even put on moisturizer. If you buy the new version they give it to you with a mist, and that mist works so well. If you layer it two or three times you can basically skip your serum and just go with a light moisturizer. It works like a toner and a serum hybrid. They use BTS Jin as the model for it, which makes it a little more expensive because of that."

"Their best product has to be their cream skin toner, I really like the old formulation when it was first launched, [...] however the new one is honestly very nice, great for dryer skin, everyone could really benefit from the peptides and ceramide, I love this in the summer especially because I can get very oily, this product allows you to supply your skin with the moisture it needs without bogging down your skin in layers of product."

"I also still really appreciate the Laneige Cream Skin Refiner. I feel like this is the toner that set the tone for all these creamy milky toners that have hit the market. Korean skincare brands have so many different milky toners lately, and honestly all of the ones I've tried have been pretty damn good, so you really can't go wrong with them. This one though, really, this is the trendsetter, this is the one that everybody fell in love with, and I really do like this one a lot. It has a combination of ceramides and peptides in it that are very nourishing for your skin and hydrating, so you just really can't go wrong using this. It feels a little bit more liquidy, a little bit more watery, but you use it the same exact way: you pour it into your hands, pat it onto your skin, and then you just enjoy your juicy, hydrated skin."

"As a standalone product I think it's good. It hydrates the skin, it moisturizes it in a nice light layer that doesn't feel greasy, and it definitely has some interesting ingredients added into the new formula. But it is lacking that richness and that nourishment and that comfort that the original Cream Skin Refiner formula brought to dry skin. It just does not hold up to the amount of moisture that the original brought. [...] If you're looking at it as a standalone product you're going to enjoy it, but if you're looking at it as a worthy replacement to the original formula, I think you're going to be disappointed because it absolutely is lacking that rich nourishing magic that the original had."
