"Is it just me, or none of these look matte? They look metallic, more like shimmer. [...] They do look beautiful though, and I like these kinds of products because they neutralize the lid and work as a great base. But I haven't been excited by anything from Makeup by Mario for a while, these look absolutely fine, [...] but I'm not overly jumping out my seat to buy or try, and I don't think you need to spend $25 to get a metallic long-lasting base on your eyelid."

"Now, this is a little bit deeper than what I typically go for on an everyday basis, but I think it's going to add something really chic and cool to the look. [...] You'll see it just like deepens the tone slightly around my eyes, but it's not too much of a stark contrast to look unnatural. [...] Just by doing something slightly deeper around the eyes, it adds something special to the look without adding effort because a casual look should not be hard to do."

The Eye Look You Asked For + New Lighting + Launch Day!! 🥹
"This is the Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Longwear Cream Eyeshadow in the shade taupe. This actually has a little bit of an olive undertone, which I think is so pretty, and I felt like it nicely complimented my shirt I was wearing because I was wearing like an olive green shirt."
FULL FACE OF MAKEUP BY MARIO...
"I'm going to use the newest product from Mario right now, their Master Mattes Longwear Cream Eyeshadow. I'm actually planning on picking up more of these. I really love these. Because these kind of act as an eye primer, I'm not going to set the eyelids with powder prior because I feel like this is going to do the trick. It's just a slightly deeper shade than my natural skin tone, so it does give like a little bit of a contoured effect, but it's super subtle."
My Favorite Beauty Products from July 2025 😍
"These are fabulous little liquid matte shadows. He has quite an extensive range which I think is so fun. So if you're looking for cool tones, warm tones, browns, grays, pinks, mauves, he's got it. I've been really enjoying those."

"I really wanted to love these. They made my eyelids look extra chunky and extra crinkly and extra wrinkled. And you know what, no mature person wants to put on a makeup that makes their eyelids look extra wrinkled."

I Tried HOT NEW Makeup at Sephora! So You Don't Have To...
"The Makeup by Mario eyeshadows are okay for me. I don't love them. I feel like on my older skin, they just make my skin look a little bit older. They just sit a little bit heavier. I feel like the cream products in this palette are kinder and more forgiving on older skin, on older eyelids than these are. I can see these being really, really beautiful on younger eyelids. And for the price difference, these are $25 a piece."
