What the gurus are saying

The 30% ethylated ascorbic acid concentration delivers impressive results on hyperpigmentation and glow, but reviewers sharply split on the trade-off: some find the irritation unbearable, while others argue results justify it, especially for resilient skin. The stabilized formula stays effective for six to nine months without oxidizing, and the lightweight texture spreads easily into skin.

"Neod Ethylated Ascorbic Acid Network is my personal favorite stabilized form of vitamin C. Neod really led the way when it came to ascorbic acid in stabilized form and was one of the first brands to come out with this form of vitamin C. They genuinely believe it delivers and is best for the consumer."
All 3 takes from Mad About Skin
VITAMIN C - Everything Is About To Change (2x Better Results)
"This packs a punch. When you want to reduce hyperpigmentation, boost collagen and glow the skin up, this is one of the very best out there. It's actually really inexpensive. I think we always associate NIOD with higher price points, but this came in at £36, which for me is really affordable when you think of the formulation, the technology, and the fact that this is really going to last. Compared with other ethylated ascorbic acid products, this doesn't oxidize as quick."
BEST VITAMIN C SERUMS - My Vitamin C Favourites
"This is the strongest vitamin C you will find on the skincare market, bar none. This is like sky-high potency and believe me you get sky-high results. But oh, the irritation, the irritation was so bad. I can feel it now, I haven't even got this product on and I can feel that irritation. [...] It was particularly irritating on the skin. This is a stabilized form of vitamin C so it lasts a lot longer than some of the other products, so that's a big plus."

"They also recommend to use this serum at nighttime because of the high percentage, that was another reason why I never continued on with this because I'm using tretinoin at night, I'm using lactic acid or peptides. I don't want to be using vitamin C at night. I much prefer to use vitamin C in the morning. I like the texture, it's thin, it's like water, it spreads, absorbs nicely, but again that 30 percent is just a little bit too much. So six out of ten."

"Do look at the ethylated ascorbic acid it's beautiful it's a really lovely easy to use light vitamin C that's only 23% but"

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Vitamin C

Topical vitamin C is an antioxidant with reasonable evidence for dullness and uneven tone. It breaks down in light and air, so how a product is formulated and packaged matters as much as the percentage on the front.
