What the gurus are saying

Summer or very congested skin is where this cleanser shines, and the gurus found that it really decongests while still feeling gentle. Because it works more like a clay mask than an everyday wash, they suggest saving it for occasional use, since daily use may be too strong and dry skin out. Others are more mixed, admitting that a fondness for the Sanskrit name may colour their view.

"Sanskrit Saponins are so nice. It takes these principles from Ayurvedic medicine and they have these plant-based surfactants that help to cleanse the skin. [...] I loved this in the past. I think that I have a little bit of a bias, which as humans we always do. Punjabi and Hindi are Sanskrit-derived languages, and so I just see those as so beautiful, so I have an affinity towards them."

"Sanskrit Saponins during the summer or for really congested skin can be a real skin saver. It is one of the more effective cleansers, but it really, really decongests as well, all without being too stripping in my experience. Like it actually feels like a gentle cleanser. I approached this cleanser the same way I would approach an intense treatment, so like a clay mask or something. So if I were to use this every single day, it would definitely dry out my skin or be just too strong for my skin."
