What the gurus are saying

Hypochlorous acid cuts down on itchy skin, especially when sweat triggers irritation, though the hype on social media overstates what it does. Several experts note it may help with acne, rosacea, and other skin issues for many people. One major caveat: the product has been hard to find in stock, so availability is a real challenge if you want to try it.

"Peach Slices came out with a hypochlorous spray. I think people tend to overstate its benefits on social media, but it has been shown to be helpful for cutting down on itch topically, specifically like if your skin gets itchy with sweat, I recommend that. That's what I do when I'm working out and stuff. It's really helpful. [...] I also find it's helpful to kind of deodorize a bit as well in the summer. I like to use this a lot. You can spray it on the face. I find it to be helpful."

"They released a Hypochlorous Acid Spray, which I purchased instantly when it came out, and now the Hypochlorous Acid Spray is nowhere to be found. I even emailed them, and they said it's sold out. I'm like, that's weird. It looks like it never existed."

"There's another brand called the magic molecule they make one, they're everywhere. Hypochlorous acid, now it's Tower 28 for my knowledge kind of made it more known to people and they're a little bit pricey but I mean it's nice that people now know about it. It seems to work well for a lot of people. So if you have acne, rosacea or other skin issues, hypochlorous acid might be worth thinking about using. [...] This one's nice, so yeah, great, small ingredients."
