This thick, pillowy moisturizer earns consistent praise for blending a potent vitamin C complex (10% THD plus vitamin E and ferulic acid) into a genuinely hydrating base. Gurus love the formula's richness and nourishing feel, and note it's potent enough to deliver real brightening results even though it stays gentle enough for regular use. "This is just a little Peter Thomas Roth vitamin C moisturizer. Try this and see which one you like better. And if you guys end up liking this, I'll get you guys one of these because this one's really expensive. So, I figure I'd let you guys try a little sample of it first."

"I love this moisturizer for a couple reasons: number one, I love the ingredients and the formula, but also I love the pillowy, doughy nature and the rich, nourishing nature of it. It's nourishing but it's not greasy or making your face look super shiny. I've used it both morning and night and find that both times it works really well for my skin, though I'd definitely use this more in the evening if you have super oily skin."

"This comes in a vitamin C moisturizer which I also love. If you really want to simplify your routine and use kind of a combined hybrid vitamin C serum/moisturizer, this is an amazing product. This one is 10% THD ascorbate, so a little bit less. If you are super super sensitive skin you could maybe start here, level up to this if your skin tolerates."

"This vitamin C brightening moisturizer is amazing. It has a lower percentage of THD at 10% and it has a complex of 3% vitamin E and ferulic acid, so it also has the trifecta but in overall lower percentages and in a moisturizing base compared to a serum and at a lower price point. It smells just like the Skinceuticals C Ferulic product but it's in a jar form."
UPDATED Vitamin C Skincare Routine | Vitamin C HACK Part 2!
"The best vitamin C moisturizer on the market hands down in my opinion is Peter Thomas Roth potent-C brightening moisturizer. This has 10% THD, 3% vitamin E, and fulvic acid with other antioxidants in it, and a very hydrating and moisturizing base. This is such an ideal product. It's thick, it's hydrating to the skin. I really love this more for the nighttime routine than the daytime routine, but certainly it can work wherever you prefer it in your routine. I love this at night."

"You can start here. It also contains vitamin E and ferulic acid as well. Now this one, it smells identical to the SkinCeuticals C Ferulic, but it's a moisturizer and it is supremely hydrating. It is so nice to wear on the skin. I prefer to incorporate this in nighttime skincare routines because it is so hydrating. It can feel a little more heavy on the skin. I don't love makeup over it. I would prefer makeup over a thinner serum. So incorporate this into your nighttime routine."

"I love the Peter Thomas Roth potency line. This is a 10% THD plus vitamin E plus ferulic acid. THD stands for Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, that is the form of vitamin C that is actually more stable, less irritating, and gets better penetration into the skin compared to ascorbic acid. This is an amazing product, but let me tell you, this is one of the most expensive products I use and recommend. It is not cheap."
Vitamin C Serum HACK! 3 Easy Steps to Make Vitamin C Work For Your Anti-aging Routine!
"This is my Holy Grail for my vitamin C serum hack. It's Peter Thomas Roth Potency Brightening Vitamin C Moisturizer. It has 10% THD in it, 3% vitamin E and ferulic acid, ceramides, hyaluronic acid to help add back moisture to the skin, hydrating oils, extra antioxidants, and hydrolyzed collagen. The percentage of THD is perfectly in the range where you can still get benefits, and this one is normally $72 but you can get it for 15% off with my code."

    What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

    Vitamin C

Topical vitamin C is an antioxidant with reasonable evidence for dullness and uneven tone. It breaks down in light and air, so how a product is formulated and packaged matters as much as the percentage on the front.

    Alpha hydroxy acids

Alpha hydroxy acids loosen the bonds holding dead cells at the surface. The evidence supports smoother texture and more even tone over time, and they can leave skin more sensitive to sun.

    Ceramides

Ceramides are part of the skin's own barrier, and moisturisers built around them have evidence for holding water in and settling the tightness and flaking that come with a damaged barrier.
