What the gurus are saying

Its light, gel-like feel is the detail that keeps coming up, sinking in fast with no noticeable scent. It suits oily, combination and acne-prone skin and is praised for calming irritated skin, though those with very dry or badly damaged barriers may want something richer alongside it. Some people have reported clogged pores, so those prone to them may want to keep an eye out.

"I expected a panthenol moisturizer to be thicker but they made it lightweight enough to use every day. If your skin barrier is really bad you need something more, some more medicine, because I felt this wasn't enough on its own. But if you want to take care of a weak skin barrier through all seasons, this will be great, and I'd recommend it more for teenagers, people in their 20s, young skin, oily combo skin, or guys."

I Tested 16 Viral K-Beauty Moisturizers to Find the #1 Winner (2026 Ranking) 🏆
"Panthenol creams are usually good for the skin barrier but tend to be too heavy and thick for oily combo skin. [...] This one I can confidently recommend for oily combo or acne prone skin because it [...] feels more like a light gel, very lightweight, and kind of cooling. If you live somewhere tropical, it is worth trying, it lives up to the hype."
Best Viral Korean Moisturizers [don’t buy one before watching this]
"This one is so hot on TikTok, they renewed the packaging. It has 10% panthenol, bamboo extract, and squalane, but to be honest I do not see that difference with other moisturizers. This kind of moisturizer you can find everywhere, and I do not feel like the moisturizing lasts that long. If you have dry skin I highly recommend going with a much richer one instead, for normal skin S.Nature is a lot better. This one is not for me."

"I give this one a 10 out of 10. It's pretty good for most skin types. Purio is putting out some amazing products. [...] If you have sensitive skin, this one's a nice one worth checking out. I definitely would recommend it."

"I was looking for some other brand to really get bamboo more into the skincare stuff and it seems like Purito is doing it so no scent to it which is nice, feels good."

Best Barrier Repairing Moisturizers and Serums 🙌 Mature & Sensitive Skin Friendly
"This one's a really nice cream so it's got panthenol, squalane, bamboo extract, and salicylic acid and it's in a pretty big jar, 3.38 ounces or 100 milliliters. [...] This one I would say is a little bit more friendly for oilier skin types so [...] a little bit of it goes a long way, it sets to a nice finish, and it's worth checking out and affordable."

"This Purito Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream just disappears into my skin, it feels incredibly hydrating, soothing and calming. Panthenol is my favorite of the B vitamins for skincare, [...] bring on the 10% panthenol. It's a beautiful product with a beautiful ingredients list, they say it strengthens the moisture barrier to reinforce moisture retention and it certainly feels like it does."

"Costwise a large size is impractical, but it really helped improve the appearance of my skin on my face and body. [...] For me it's a great no-nonsense fragrance-free facial moisturizer that actually looks good on the skin. It's not oily or emollient, but it gives the skin a kind of gloss and helps lubricate the surface, so it's really good on the neck where there's more friction."

The Best Moisturizers For Sensitive Skin 2025
"It's a great no-nonsense fragrance-free facial moisturizer that really actually looks good on the skin. It's not an oily emollient, but it gives the skin that kind of gloss and it helps lubricate the skin surface. So really good on the neck where you have a lot more friction that can contribute to barrier issues, friction like rubbing of a necklace [...] or a scarf in the winter time. [...] It's the only one here without ceramides."
Dermatologist Skincare Empties: What I’d Repurchase and What I’d Skip
"The Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream [...] has a nice glossy finish to it, which I really like. It's soothing. It's great for very irritated skin. [...] If you're dealing with a lot of sensitivity issues and you're trying to heal, [...] this would be a great option as a facial moisturizer at night. It has this nice glossy saucy finish to it, so you feel like you're getting a little something something luxe there. And it works really well on the body, too."

"They have Purito here. Now, this mighty bamboo panel cream. This is really good. It's I've talked about it in my video on Korean moisturizers for sensitive skin. It is actually a little bit more lightweight in comparison to like a really thick rich balm, but it's very soothing."

"I'm actually wearing it right now under my makeup. It has no noticeable scent. I used this as a sleeping mask over my other products to lock them in and it worked really well. I could still feel this there in the morning. And I have seen a few people say that this clogged their pores. I personally didn't have an issue with this, but if you are prone to clogged pores, keep an eye out for that."

"This is great for that. Of course, in addition to the benefits that bamboo has for fighting against aging, but I love how lightweight it is. This is really like a versatile formula that you can use both during the daytime and nighttime because it gives your skin that splash of hydration, but not overly greasy or heavy. I'm really excited to continue using it."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide has evidence behind it for redness, uneven tone and supporting the skin barrier, and it is usually well tolerated even by skin that reacts to most things.

Source: DermNet

Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.

Source: DermNet

Peptides

Peptides are short protein fragments meant to signal repair. The evidence for them is thinner than for retinoids or vitamin C, and it varies a lot by the specific peptide, so the category is more promising than proven.
