What the gurus are saying

This pillowcase reduces sleep creases that persist for hours after waking and minimizes hair friction to cut down frizz and damage. The silk keeps your nighttime skincare products on your skin instead of letting them absorb into the pillowcase. Reviewers report the pillowcase holding up beautifully across years of regular use, maintaining its friction-reducing quality without any noticeable degradation in durability.

"Satin pillowcases are nice, but once you go with silk it's pretty hard to back down to satin. Silk is just so naturally cooling, it feels so lovely to sleep on, and fifty percent off is nice to see."

"I usually use the Slip silk pillowcases. The price difference is massive between my Slip pillowcases and my Kitsch pillowcases, and yet, I like both."

Holy Grail Skincare Gift Guide 2024 from a Dermatologist | Dr. Sam Ellis
"One Hair Care gift that I think would be fantastic would be a Silk Pillowcase. The Silk Pillowcase I have is by the brand Slip. I've had mine for over six years now. I actually have two, one that I leave at home and then one that I pack with me when I travel. I know I put this under the Hair Care category because silk pillowcases help your hair kind of slide nicely over your pillow so you wake up with less damage and less frizz, but it's also good for your skin as well. When you sleep on silk your products are not going to as readily absorb into your pillow, and if you're prone to sleep creases from laying on your side this helps with that friction component as well."
Dermatologist's Haircare Routine: How I Style & Care for My Hair While Traveling | Dr. Sam Ellis
"This one is by Slip, and it's a great kind of thing to reduce friction on the hair, help it not get frizzy. I just want to be efficient when I travel, and if I wake up and my hair is just a hot mess and I have to be somewhere quickly, I don't love that. I'd rather get 20 extra minutes of sleep than have to work on taming my hair when I wake up more than I otherwise would have to, so I use the Slip pillowcase. When I travel with these I just travel with it completely inside out, wrap it up."

"A Silk Pillowcase can be great for people who are prone to sleep lines or sleep creases you might notice when you wake up. Some people are prone to getting these lines, sometimes even in their decollete or on one side of their face, that seem to persist even for hours after you wake up, so using a Silk Pillowcase can definitely help with that. I like the brand Slip, that's an excellent option. They actually have some really impressive studies showing that it actually helps with the transfer of skincare products, so your skincare products that you use at night are staying on your face and not getting into the pillowcase."
