What the gurus are saying

This ultrasound treatment stands out for delivering visible lift, especially around the eyes and brows, with zero downtime and no risk of fat loss since it works only at the collagen-production depth. Those with darker skin may find it particularly valuable because it sidesteps the pigmentation concerns some other tightening treatments carry. Results vary: most gurus report immediate tightening from protein coagulation, with continued improvement over months as collagen rebuilds, though one reviewer saw minimal change after a single session and plans to retry.

"Softwave uses ultrasound. It only goes down a half a millimeter deep. Does not go to the level where you have fat. So there's zero risk of it damaging any cell membrane of fat and having you lose volume in your face. What I felt when I did Softwave, and I've done it twice, is it felt like my whole skin was energized. I don't know how else to explain that, but afterwards, I'd never felt anything like that before. It was like my whole face just felt energized. And I did notice a lift afterwards."

"I could feel a difference hours after this treatment was done. I've never felt anything like that before, and I've had Morpheus 8 done, I've had multiple CO2 laser peels. [...] This is very different. What this uses is ultrasound, so this is not radio frequency, it's not microneedling, it's ultrasound, and it only goes down about 1.5 mm, which is [...] the depth of collagen production. [...] Softwave [...] helps to go down to the level of collagen."

"Softwave uses ultrasound energy to heat the skin but it does it in a fractional pattern. There's a lot of online hype about this treatment, but the question is is it superior to other therapies. A lot of doctors are on board with being big fans of Softwave, but it is kind of the new treatment on the block."

"Softwave is extremely effective if you read one of the clinical studies looking at patients that were treated with one treatment of softwave, 88% of patients had a significant improvement in fine lines, wrinkles, and lifting on the face. There was also high patient satisfaction with the treatment. There is some pain involved with softwave because it is a very powerful treatment, but [...] we have some good tactics to help with pain. We numb the area for a good hour prior to the procedure."

"They go in with this ultrasound machine called Softwave and they do it on your face. They do it on your neck. They can do it on other parts of your body too. But I've only done my face and neck area and it feels kind of like it's a little bit painful in bony areas because it does heat up for like a split second."

"I got Softwave done for instance right and I was surprised by there was zero downtime and I thought to myself if I were Jennifer Lopez I would just have this machine in my home and do it every three months, you know, have somebody show up I don't even have to leave and just have them do this because there's no downtime and nobody would know that I was like tightening up my face."

"Somebody asked me about Softwave. I've only done it once and I can't say I saw a difference, but I was impressed that it did not hurt like I expected it to. I will probably try it again. It's been about three or four months since I did it, so I'll probably try it again just to see if I see more tightening, but as of now I don't think I saw a huge difference."
