What the gurus are saying

This cleanser earns praise for being gentle enough to use regularly without irritating skin, even during intensive routines like spray tan removal. Experts split on how distinctive it feels: some find it genuinely effective and pleasant to use, while others say the exfoliating beads don't deliver anything noticeably special compared to a standard face wash. Best suited for those wanting a mild daily exfoliant rather than a powerhouse scrub.

"This one does a really nice job. It's got rice extract, which gives you that scrubby feeling. Some of these contain oat as well. This one also contains a pine, which I believe is derived from pineapple because pineapple has bromelain, an ingredient that's known in pineapple and sometimes used as a meat tenderizer. And then this also contains green tea. I finished that off. This one's very light, I would say. Very gentle."

"I like this stuff. I started using this again when I was doing spray tanning, and I would use this to kind of help remove it before I'd go again, and it seemed to do a good job of that and was still gentle enough."

"It just feels like a regular face wash. I don't know, it has these little mini beads and maybe that's why they call it exfoliating, and it is exfoliating but like it doesn't feel anything special."

"The ingredients are not bad, I just don't think that they are phenomenal. There is some fragrance in it, some silk, a lot of basic things, some nice cleansers, some glycerin so a little bit more hydrating to the skin. We also have [...] camellia sinensis which is similar to what Chanel has been throwing into their skincare products. [...] It's got some rice fermented filtrate. I just don't think it is fantastic."
