What the gurus are saying

This cleanser earns consistent praise as a gentle, effective wash that doesn't strip the skin, though gurus split on whether its brightening claims hold up in a rinse-off formula. The fulvic acid itself appears to offer mild antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits rather than exfoliation or visible brightening, making it particularly suitable for sensitive skin, eczema-prone skin, and oily skin during warmer months. At under 15 dollars with a full bottle, it's a solid budget cleanser that does its job well, the main quirk is its short six-month shelf life once opened.

"It promises to be mildly exfoliating, which I don't get because you don't feel the bits on the skin [...] and fulvic acid is not an exfoliating acid. It also claims to be brightening, but I don't really use it for that because it's a wash off product and doesn't have much inside except licorice root extract that I'd look for in a brightening routine. But it's a really nice cleanser that I enjoyed using up."

How to get rid of hyperpigmentation: my updated skincare routine for fall | Doctor Anne
"Don't be fooled by the name, it has brightening in there, but I don't think it does anything to combat hyperpigmentation. Fulvic acid is not an exfoliating acid, and I don't really think it does much anyway. [...] The only thing it does contain that will target hyperpigmentation is licorice root extract, [...] but even if it had the right concentration [...] I don't think it would have the maximum effect in a wash-off product. Why do I use the cleanser? Because it's not stripping."

"I cleanse with a non-stripping gel cleanser. The one I am using here is The Inkey List Fulvic Acid Cleanser, other options are the Geek and Gorgeous Jelly Joker or something along those lines. I am not that picky as long as it doesn't strip my skin."

"I like that cleanser. I actually really like it when I'm traveling particularly. It's just simple. So it's the INKEY List fulvic acid. It just gets everything off. It feels like quite a deep cleanse."

"It's just a no frills cleanser, it's 13 bucks. I always say if you're on a budget, spend less on products that spend less time on your skin. Cleansers, as long as you have a decent one that's gentle, it doesn't really matter too much, it's going down the drain. You can certainly, if you have more money, spend more, but if you're going to cut back on certain things, cleansers are one thing to cut back on in my opinion. This one's nice, it's no frills, it has no scent to it, it has a nice lather."

"I tried this and it's okay, it's not like magical. [...] I felt like it was a bigger issue that a lot of The INKEY List products have a short Best By opening number. This one's only good within six months, which seems really short for a cleanser. I mean, that's small packaging anyway, so you'll probably go through it quickly, but it's just kind of odd."

EMPTIES 😍 / SKIN CARE I USED UP @DrDrayzday
"I don't really know what to tell you guys about it. Fulvic acid, I don't know what they claim it does, but it's in there. I don't think it's necessarily harmful, but I can't promise that it does anything magical. It's just a mild cleanser, it's not bad, it does the job. It's not [...] overly drying. One thing I will say about it is that when you put it in your hands, it's a little bit slippery, it kind of falls out of your hands easily."

"The Inky List Fulvic Acid Brightening Cleanser is really good, it'll be the best gentle cleanser for oily skin."
~Yay
"This is a phenomenal cleanser, [...] a gel-to-cream cleanser with ingredients that help to brighten and even skin tone such as licorice and fulvic acid. Fulvic acid is wonderful and can actually help with inflammation in the skin for people who deal with eczema or psoriasis. It's not going to cure that because there is no cure for psoriasis and eczema, but it is something that would be a good option to include in a routine."

"I absolutely loved [...] this cleanser when I first tried it. It's just over 10 pounds but if you hunt around you can get it for under, it's actually around eight pounds. It comes in a huge bottle and it is worth the price. Fulvic acid is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory ingredient, so it's good for sensitive skin and all skin types. I found this particularly good for my oily skin during the summer."
