What the gurus are saying

This mask visibly pulls oil out of pores in a way that rivals pricier alternatives, and it costs far less. Two dermatologists and cosmetic chemists praise how the French pink clay and kaolin work together to absorb oil and help with sun damage, making it especially handy in hot, humid climates or after sun exposure. The powder format lets you customize how you mix it (with water for a standard mask, or with oil or toner if your skin needs more hydration) so it works for different skin types in one product.

"I love a good mask in my routine once a week or just some self-care or nights that I take off from doing kind of my whole traditional routine. This is called Soothe, it has two types of clay in it, it has rose hip extract and oil in it, and that's pretty much it. It's super clean. This is actually a little bit unique because it comes in this powder and you mix it yourself and then apply it. You can mix it with water, a toner, an oil if you want it to be more hydrating."

"This has to be probably my favorite Three Ships product of all time, specifically the soothe one is a little bit better than the detox one [...] for me. The soothe one is rosehip and vitamin C and it's this beautiful clay mask that when you put it on your skin it sucks out the oil in a visible way. [...] I love this so much and [...] I've purchased so many of these and I will continue to do so. [...] These are excellent alternatives to some of the much more expensive counterparts."

"It's made by badass female engineers from Canada and it's available at target. It's literally luxury without the luxury price tag. [...] Any clay mask is going to go into the pores, absorb and hold onto that oil, and wash it away, which helps so much for super hot sticky climates. The vitamin C in here is helpful especially if you got a sunburn or if you're worried about the sun damage. [...] There are literally three ingredients: French pink clay, Kaolin clay, and rose hip extract."
