"The Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara is a cult classic for a reason. I did include it in my tubing mascara roundup this year and it kind of ranked in the middle somewhere. What I have found is that I need a lash comb with it. If I use the comb through and then remove the little bit of residual that I get, it doesn't transfer. I've also let it stand open for a little while, since I learned that tubing mascaras when they're very wet, if you leave them open for a little while and they have the opportunity to dry out just a touch, they apply so much better. [...] Along with picking up a lash comb, that's been the perfect combination. I'm getting less fallout, and I like the look a lot better because it's more of a natural look as opposed to the spidery look I was getting. The comb just helps comb out the additional clumps and smooth everything out."

"Thrive is the tubing mascara that put tubing mascaras on the map on socials a few years ago, so this is the one that most tubing mascaras are compared to now. As far as application, I was really disappointed. It does give a long, separated look, but it's so wet and there's so much cleanup involved. I mean, I can't blink my eyes, I would have to sit there and let it dry forever, so this only got a two out of five for application. The look is really pretty, they're long, the lashes are separated, they're glossy, not as natural as The Hourglass but still kind of what you would expect from a tubing mascara, and because they were just a little bit too shiny and spiky for me personally, I gave this a four out of five for the look. Smudging, this thing doesn't budge, no smudging at all during my smudge test, I was very impressed. As far as wash off, it did take a little bit of work. I was thinking that it would only take about three swipes and then come off nicely in tubes, it only got a three out of five for wash off. It took me a while to get this off, similar to The Hourglass. [...] It did take me a while, like four to five swipes, to [...] kind of get this off. It didn't really come off as well as I'd hoped, I did have to do a little bit of effort to get this mascara off, so that was a four out of five."
