"This is a vegan formula with no animal-derived ingredients. It has mastixic acid and matasic acid, which are compounds from centella that are anti-inflammatory, and it has hyaluronic acid with a few polymers to hydrate. No niacinamide for those of you who are sensitive. This is the type of thing that you put on as a first step after cleansing, and by improving moisture retention and moisture content in the stratum corneum, it helps improve barrier function. You get smoother, more hydrated skin and less irritation. [...] But honestly, I was not impressed with the performance of this at all. It was just very underwhelming."

It just helps with water retention in the skin a bit, and that has a plumping effect to diminish the appearance of little fine lines. And when you improve water content in the skin, it ultimately helps with skin cell maturation, reducing the buildup of rough skin texture. [...] I do really enjoy hydrating serums. "Torriden Dive-In Serum is here and I've used this. It's pretty good for a hyaluronic acid serum, just very hydrating. You can use this, for example, around the eyes to plump up little fine lines. A little expensive, however, for that purpose only. And I love that this comes with a little travel size, too. Right now, this is not on sale. However, $34.99 for the two bottles plus the travel size. Not too bad."

"I was such a skeptic of this one initially, a low molecular hyaluronic acid serum, I mean who hasn't tried hyaluronic acid before. But this is a good example of why formulation matters, not just what ingredients are in your product but what you do with them. It uses five different forms of hyaluronic acid to target different layers of your skin, and on top of that it has panthenol, allantoin and some active components of centella that may be incredible for soothing your skin, which is always a benefit for my difficult skin since I need soothing and calming. I don't just need hydration, I need more, and even though this calls itself a hydrating serum, because it does more, that is actually a really good hyaluronic acid serum. I will say I preferred the Beauty of Joseon balance serum, probably because I have acne, so I'd say this one is a little more for people looking to soothe dryness while also getting some of those restorative benefits. If you're still using a basic hyaluronic acid serum, especially one that costs a lot more, this is very much worth trying."

"The number one serum is the Torriden Dive-In Serum. For my dry, mature skin, for women in their mid thirties and up, you could actually use this as a toner, it's just too watery and too lightweight, I don't feel anything from it. But if you're oily or combo skin, younger, in your twenties, this can definitely be a replacement, I cannot live without it. I tried it whenever I was about to break out and I saw the effect, I can guarantee it's a lot better for young skin, but it does have a bit of a scent, so keep that in mind."

"The last serum is the Torriden Dive-In Serum, they've been doing aggressive marketing in front of the Olive Young checkout line, you can't avoid it. The truth is it's pretty good, the texture is thicker than water but it absorbs so quickly into the skin. Originally hyaluronic acid can be a bit sticky and need time to smear into the skin, but they split the hyaluronic acid into five different types of molecules so it makes for a great finish that's not sticky at all. I highly recommend it for men, combination and oily skin, and teenagers, you guys will love it."

"This has a thin runny gel texture and at first you may be thinking that it's actually going to perform in a more lightweight manner than other serums, but no it really does not, appearances can be deceiving. While it looks a little bit looser, this dives deep into your skin hydration. This is a very appropriately named line; they did a great job naming this because that's exactly the sensation you get. As this gets into your skin, if other lines kind of go a little bit deeper than just on top, this goes down to the source of your dehydration. It's very, very interesting, very refreshing, incredibly like a hydration bomb deep within your skin. While it's not sticky and doesn't have a shiny greasy look and still feels very breathable and light on my combination skin, there's this really interesting effect that once it does dive deep into your skin, it's almost like it locks in place there deep in your skin, not on top. Sometimes serums sit on top of your skin and that's how they keep the hydration in place, but there's something special about this line that it kind of locks in place a little deeper into your skin. If you are suffering with dehydration that feels like it's in your skin, a little bit tight and a little bit irritated, that is an incredibly soothing feeling."
