What the gurus are saying

The turmeric tint creates immediate visual brightness on under-eyes. Some reviewers love the ingredient mix (coffee seed and tree bark reducing puffiness temporarily, licorice root and camellia sinensis soothing and addressing dark spots) and find the $78 price justified for the visible results. Others agree the ingredients check out but think that price tag is too steep for the small amount offered.

"This is the Resurrection Radiance Eye Cream from True Botanicals and this stuff is amazing. It has turmeric in it so it has this like yellowish kind of tint to it and I love the way it makes my under eyes look. I use this almost every single day now underneath my makeup and it just gives me this beautiful kind of look to my under eyes. This is one of those products where you see like an immediate difference with your under eye area just because it has that pigment to it."
    ✓Mixed
"This is 78 dollars and you get such a tiny amount for [...] that price. It does say dark circles and puffiness, but I'm still not spending money on it. I still don't think it's worth it. However, the ingredients do check out and they're not claiming it's going to help with wrinkles. I wouldn't spend my money on this; I would get the caffeine eye cream from the ordinary and just put it all over my face."

    What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

    Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.

    Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
