"The 300 is slightly more potent in terms of the spicules that are in here. So spicules are little they're almost like micro darts that push the product deeper into the skin so you get better results. You get quicker results too. And this works in a flash. Now those spicules I don't think work on sensitive skin. If you're somebody that has quite a resilient skin type that maybe you're not getting the results you want to see from other vitamin C's, give this a go."

"So if you haven't tried the Reedle Shot, the 300's starts at 50 and goes up to I believe 900. So 300 is in the newer to mid tier of it strengthwise. 18 bucks is a really good deal. These are some of the more expensive K beauty products I come across. So seeing it that cheap under 20 bucks is a really good deal. And if you wanted to try it, this is a good chance to try it without having to put a whole K beauty or Asian beauty order in."

"I don't like that. It feels like it's got little spicules in it or sponge or cellulose or something. I [...] feel like that's going to mess up my makeup, to be honest. [...] It just feels like it almost feels like exfoliating, which I don't want in my morning routine."

"I definitely would. Next time I'll go back to 100, I think maybe start there. I'm really enjoying using this, it's new, I like that, I like trying new things. [...] If you have extremely sensitive skin or sensitive skin, I would just start with the 100 version. [...] I wish I would have started with 100, so start with 100 and work your way up. Otherwise it's a totally unique, different product worth a try. With a 10 being a perfect score, this one a nine. My only issue is the price."

"Not only is this a really good skin booster in the sense that it boosts everything throughout the rest of your skincare routine, but as a standalone serum it's surprisingly calming because of the Seeker, despite you getting little micro needles in your skin, and hydrating as well. I love it, I absolutely love it. It's always out of stock though, so if you want it get it, but get like two. I've got like three because I know it's always out of stock."

"I've seen crazy results, really really good results from this product. People with acne, clogged and congested skin, dark spots, textured skin, all improving in the space of weeks. For me personally, I've definitely seen a difference with skin texture. I mentioned a while back when I first started using these, I had texture on my forehead and congestion on my nose, but yes, I've graduated now to the 300 and I've been using this one for a..."

"I like using the 300 on my forehead because I tend to create more dead skin cells, oil, and sebum in that area. The Reedle Shot 300 has 237,000 seeker needles and is great to use 3 days a week."

    What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

    Niacinamide

Niacinamide has evidence behind it for redness, uneven tone and supporting the skin barrier, and it is usually well tolerated even by skin that reacts to most things.

    Source: DermNet

    Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.
