★ Best nail polish system
Nail Polish System
Dazzle Dry Nail Polish System
Brought up 5 times
I have some Dazzle Dry. I think I really, really like this combination. I like it a lot. My own manicure that I do on myself now, it lasts for about 2 weeks. And the thing about rubber base is that you can infill as well. So you can file down and just kind of fill in as long as it's not lifting.
★ Best cleanser for acne-prone skin
Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser
Brought up 3 times
The type of cleanser that you also use matters a lot because you need cleansers that are actually targeted at people with your skin type. My favorite cleanser I tell you guys all the time is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar cleanser. That cleanser was made for people with acne prone skin. It's literally the best that I have used. It is perfect in my opinion. I use it after I have used the Effaclar micellar water now. I think that these two were made for each other, these two products.
★ Best retinol
Retinol Serum with Ferulic Acid
Dr. Dennis Gross Retinol Serum with Ferulic Acid
Brought up 2 times
There are retinol serums. Actually, the best retinol I've ever used in my life is a retinol serum from Dr. Dennis Gross. It is really, really good. And [...] there's something that they put in it that actually combats that very bad side effect that retinol gives you sometimes.
★ Best sunscreen
Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics SPF 50+ PA++++ (Korean formula)
Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics SPF 50+ PA++++ (Korean formula)
Brought up 2 times
This is my favorite sunscreen from Beauty of Joseon. This is their Relief Sun rice and probiotics. Basically, this is the one for people with oily acne prone skin.

When I ran out of my usual benzoyl peroxide gel, [...] I switched to this and [...] it did nothing for my acne. My issue with CeraVe in general [...] is that their products contain a lot of ceramides, and the humectants and other ingredients they use can make it so the product doesn't give you the results you need. [...] I bought about four of these because I couldn't believe [...] benzoyl peroxide [...] wasn't working, but the formulation is why it wasn't working.

My skin was acting up when I gave it a try, and it broke me out. [...] I used it for about two weeks and it left my skin worse than it met it. [...] Instead of removing things from my pores, it put things into mine, and I got a lot of clogged pores and closed comedones in [...] places I typically don't break out. [...] This product has worked for some people, so I don't think everybody's lying, but [...] if you're acne-prone I'd consider micellar water first before jumping on oil cleansers.

I tried mixing it with the Water Powder Serum [...] like people recommended and even tried [...] the universal [...] colorless version, but it was the same thing: it made my skin more greasy and it clogged my pores. This product broke me out. [...] I know it's a cult favorite and works for some people with oily skin, but [...] if you're acne-prone you have to be very careful with it. If you want to try it, start with a small size before committing to a bigger one because it's not cheap.

"Another one that I started using at a point this year when I couldn't find the Biodma one in stores, I think it was around the time that they were doing their rebrand. It is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Micellar Water. This particular Micellar Water is a newer product for the La Roche-Posay Effaclar range and I think it's perfect [...] because it pairs beautifully with the La Roche-Posay Effaclar cleanser, which is my go-to cleanser."

"I've talked about this cleanser to you guys so many times. It's the La Roche-Posay Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser for oily skin. This will get rid of all the oil on your face. It will help combat breakouts. It will help prevent breakouts. I always have this cleanser, at least one jar somewhere in the house. And it's become a family thing now because it's not just me. My husband kind of has oily skin and we both use this. So I always get big bottles at any given time."

"It's fragrance-free, it's non-foaming, and designed for sensitive skin. Sometimes sensitive skin cleansers are too rich for oily skin girls, but this one strikes the right balance. It doesn't clog pores, it doesn't cause breakouts. When I say I used this between 2018 and 2019, the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser was my cleanser. [...] If you've been hesitant to try this because it doesn't say 'for oily skin' on the packaging, don't worry, it works."

"Let's say for any reason I don't see the Cetaphil cleanser and I see this on the shelf, I'm going to grab it. It does have fragrance though. It smells like grapefruit which I love, but I know that some people have oily skin that is sensitive to fragrance. If that is you, then skip this. Otherwise, I think it's very refreshing. It has a very energizing scent in the shower and it works. It completely absolutely works."

"I currently use Bioderma Sebium H2O for double cleansing. [...] It removes everything without the heavy greasy residue sometimes that you would get with micellar water. [...] The one for oily skin I would highly highly highly recommend. I always have it on my dressing table or in the area where I get ready or do my skincare in the morning. It works great. It gets the job done. It's not heavy on the skin. In addition to all of this, it's very gentle and effective and doesn't disrupt your skin."

"My favorite balm to actually use is the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm, the charcoal one is so good for people who have combination to oily skin. [...] This will take your makeup off, it will dissolve everything, even the toughest type of eyeliner this thing will dissolve. I take my time and work this through or into my face, and once I'm done doing that I'm going to rinse it off with water."

It gives you time to blend, especially if you're a beginner and you're worried that your concealer might dry really quickly -- [...] it will give you time to apply precisely and then blend out. "I like to do my eye patch at night. This is hydrating and it helps for just different things under your eyes if you have hyperpigmentation, if you have puffy under eyes, if they are sunken, all those things. I leave it on for 10 minutes and then I take it off and whatever is left from the patch I just pat it into my skin because at the end of the day it's a skincare product, so you don't want to wipe that off."

"I use it once in a while and every time I use it, [...] there's always like you smell so different. One of the notes that you get with this is incense and I remember, I know what incense smells like, but for me the only place I'll smell incense is in church and I remember the first time that I smelled this I was like what is this, and I never knew that incense could be in something I smell as good as it does outside of how I know incense to smell."

"Another brand that is really good is this one called Living Proof. I got this from Amazon. It's their advanced clean dry shampoo. This is really good. I like the smell, but compared to the hair by anyone, I prefer the fragrance on that one much better. But this is a very good dry shampoo. Is a powerhouse."

"When it comes to body mists, I really love the Sol de Janeiro ones. I've used quite a few of them, but out of all of them, this is my favorite. And this is the Cherrosa 59. I got a sample kit that had all the popular ones. And this smells really good. So this is for like days when you're not going anywhere, like you've done your body care, you've come out of the shower, or even nighttime, you've done everything, but you want to smell like nice without going in with perfume."
