What the gurus are saying

This cleanser removes makeup, mascara, and sunscreen without stripping the skin, leaving it soft and hydrated rather than tight or dry. The colloidal oatmeal and plant-based butters make it especially soothing for sensitive skin and those with a compromised barrier, and may help calm facial redness. The creamy texture and gentle lather work well as a first cleanse, even on oily and combination skin, though those with sensitive skin are likely to find it most rewarding.

"After several uses, my skin has this nice little glow, probably from the oils in here. It just keeps your skin so nourished and moisturized where it's just giving that nice healthy glow to the skin. If you do enjoy the Drunk Elephant brand, you do like colloidal oatmeal, the marula oil, then this would be well worth it, and I've quite enjoyed my experience with this so far. Even if you have oily skin, yes you can still use this."

"It feels nice and fine and my skin feels nice hydrated not dry. Pretty darn clean. I'm impressed, a lot of times those all-in-one type cleansers are good at one thing and not the other, but this actually did a decent job of removing makeup, sunscreen, eye mascara, as well as leave my skin feeling soft and not super dry or tight. No strong scents. The lather is nice and gentle. I think this would be a nice one to use with a handheld silicone face cleaner device."

"It does a very good job, it leaves my skin feeling nice and soft and clean with no film. Does a really good job with sunscreen and makeup and things like that. I've only been able to test it for about a week but so far so good. I have a love-hate relationship with this brand [...] now. For a while I was totally anti-Drunk Elephant, for a while I was in love with them, and now I'm kind of in a love-hate relationship."

"It has a very pleasant smell to it, which shocked me, and I do like this, I like it a lot, I like how gentle it is. I haven't tried it to remove makeup because that's not typically how I use cream cleansers, I prefer oil cleansers for that, but as a morning cleanse this is really nice. [...] Do you need to spend this much on a cream cleanser? Absolutely not, but did Drunk Elephant do a nice job on this?"
